WERA at Summit Point

May 31 - June 1, 1997

WERA attracted rain to Summit Point Raceway for the second time in as many tries this year. Clouds threatened on Saturday, but aside from a light sprinkle during the first practice round, the rain waited until Sunday morning to break loose. From then on it was a washout, shortening races to 6 laps, then to 4, in order to get the entire schedule finished.

Fortunately, Saturday provided good track conditions and some great racing in nearly perfect weather. The photos below are of racing action on Saturday May 31st.
