woo hoo!

Hello fellow Safety Crew members! Our first event on the new Shenandoah Circuit is approaching quickly! We're working with CCS on the Shenandoah for the first time this Saturday and Sunday, 27-28 August, and we need your help!

The Shenandoah Circuit is a twisty, technical track, and will be a challenging course for racers accustomed to the sweeping turns of the main circuit. It will also be a challenge for the Safety Crew to learn the new configuration, which will be fun! Since it is a new track, we will all need to be flexible, as there will be some details that we simply won't know until we get there. Here is what we do know so far:

When to Arrive
Please arrive no later than 7am, ready to go. We will need extra time to get everyone set up on station, which means we will do signups and hold an abbreviated flag meeting so workers can get on station early. We will conduct the course check at 7:45, so it is especially important that you arrive no later than 7am.

Getting There
You must enter the Shenandoah track via the Shenandoah entrance, which is to the west of the gate for the main circuit. You cannot enter through the main circuit; our gate list will only be at the Shenandoah entrance.

Where to Meet
Make your way to the paddock and find the control building. One side of the control building will be taped off for our use as a café area. For now we will consider that our meeting area. Please note that there is NO SEATING in that area, so if you have a folding chair please bring it with you.

Camping
We will NOT have access to the main circuit. If you wish to camp, you must camp on the grounds of the Shenandoah itself. The beginning of the Shenandoah property is defined as the right-hand side of the road by which you entered the track from Summit Point Road. (When you see the office on your left, look right.) Please do not go beyond the office.

Be Prepared
ASDs and café personnel will not be able to reach you easily once you are on station, so we ask that you come completely prepared with everything you think you may need throughout the course of the day. This means beverages, snacks, and any other sustenance you may need.

Thanks in advance for coming out to help make this weekend a success!
